Rocker

Rocker skis\/boards offer superior float in soft snow and increased ease of turn initiation.

Description

For 2016 the Völkl RTM 81 Skis + iPT Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings get a total redesign aimed at turning this frontside all mountain legend into an even more responsive and versatile ski. 3D Ridge Tech is the biggest, boldest change, with a noticeably thicker profile underfoot that becomes thinner towards the edges, for a lighter, more nimble ski that retains all of it's power and precision.

PRODUCT DETAILS:

ROCKER TYPE

Alpine Tip & Tail Rocker – Variable edge length in tip and tail areas, the rocker height is minimal. Makes the ski turn-friendly and allows for a stiffer flex setup. A longer ski can be selected.

SHAPE

3D Ridge Technology – This unique construction is characterized by a raised central ridge that flattens and thins dramatically toward the edges of the ski both in front and back of the binding. The result is a reduction in mass that enhances the agility of the ski while retaining the precision, power and pressure distribution where the boot contacts the ski.

CORE

3D.Ridge Core – Created with a sophisticated CNC milling process, an Extended Sensorwood cores create vertical ridges to form the understructure of the 3D Ridge shape.

LAMINATES

Powered by Steel – A layer of spring steel under the core provides vibration absorption and a solid, lively feel.

SIDEWALLS
