A versatile carving ski.
The Völkl Deacon 79 Skis + iPT Wideride XL 12 GW Bindings are carving-oriented skis with a bit of extra girth to make them more versatile in fresh and variable snow conditions. Völkl keeps the profile to a minimum with their unique 3D.Ridge construction taken from the V-Werks line, but retains the solid performance using their "Powered by Steel" laminate process. A very versatile ski for those who stick mainly to the front side of the mountain.

Rocker Type: XTD Tip and Tail Rocker – Unique rocker shape, longer rocker profile compared to traditional tip & tail rocker, very short cambered profile under foot, more solid shovel and softer middle section.
Shape: 3D.Ridge – Central Woodcore Ridge with superslim extremities to significantly reduce weight and swing weight and retain stability underfoot where it counts
Core: Dual Wood Core XL – Extra light PU construction with two parallel wooden cores in the ski body.
Laminates: Powered by Steel – A metal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.
3D.Glass – Three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and tail area or binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound in turns.
Sidewalls: Center Sidewall – Direct and strong powertransmission with partial sidewalls in the center of the ski, combined with the superslim 3D.Ridge construction.
Base: P-Tex 2100 Base – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
