More flexible, lighter, thinner, and still giving the highest level of certified protection, we created the new VPD Max Vest by revisiting the scientific fundamentals of creating a back protector. Designed for use in environments where flexibility and freedom of movement are paramount for your safety, the new vest instils a sense of complete trust in your own ability to move and turn exactly as you need in every situation. Developing the principle of using cylinders of protective material first seen in our VPD System knee pads, the new VPD protector takes the science even further, moulding columns of VPD to both sides of a fabric base to give more flexibility and softness than is possible with a traditional foam protector.
The columns still harden or deform as required to absorb and dissipate any impact forces. The hollow cylindrical columns maintain the highest impact protection properties, and are certified to EN1621-2, Level 2 standards. The shape and spacing of the columns from one another allows for good airflow around the vest, helping keep you comfortable and preventing overheating. The vest is constructed from an elasticated lightweight mesh fabric, giving exceptional airflow, breathability and durability.

- The vest is constructed from a lightweight and highly durable recycled polyester/elastane mesh with 4-way stretch, offering exceptional wicking properties. It is also quick to dry.
- The highly flexible protector makes it easy to roll up or fold the back protector for easy packing and travel. It can even safely be left rolled up in a car overnight and worn straight away, without needing to thaw.
