The Nidecker Supermatic is what snowboarding has been waiting for: the first universal dual entry automatic binding. Many brands have tried and failed. Most of these systems required specific boots; many did not perform well in powder; and none of them were as comfortable and reliable as a two-strap binding. We've spent four years developing our own solution that addresses all of these issues, and it's truly a game-changer.
The Supermatic uses Nidecker's patented Drop In tech. Simply step your foot in from behind and step on the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That's it - you're ready to ride. A simple release lever makes exit just as quick. The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech design as our traditional high-end bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in place using the aluminum locking pawls to enjoy the perfect fit every time. The beauty of this system is that it works with any boot from any manufacturer, and there are no complicated mechanisms that might get stuck. If the slope or snow conditions require it, you can even attach them like a regular binding. We built the Supermatic using proven materials found throughout our range. The all-new baseplate is made from fiberglass-infused nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that helps your toes slide over the pad for easier entry. Likewise, we have added a roller to the heel to make it easier to put the boots on. All in all, it's a mid-rigid binding that the Nidecker team called the most comfortable to date. Tested it everywhere - on groomed trails, steep and deep freeride lines and in the park - with input from riders of all types. Conclusion: This is a fast entry system you can trust. Baseplate: ASYM Rockered Matic-System - Stiffness and immediate energy transfer are dramatically improved thanks to carbon-infused nylon material, which is 230% stiffer than the regular Axis baseplate. Rounded corners protect your topsheet, and the asymmetrical shape ensures a natural transfer.
Hiback: ASYM Hadron-Matic-Hiback - The reclining Hiback creates the fastest automatic entry system. It folds down completely, creating a large opening that allows you to slip in your boot easily.
Ankle Strap: Hybrid Exo-Frame - Suspended on the Hybrid Spine, the injected ankle-strap structure with Auxetic pattern provides highly responsive support.
Toe Strap: Hexo Toecap - Features Auxtech, a 3D Auxetic pattern for high level comfort.
Buckles: LSR, Locking Slap Ratchets - Allow you to easily get in and out of your bindings as desired. whether it's a SpeedEntry binding or a classic two-strap binding, they lock to ensure your straps are tight.
